hmm. it didn’t, so I installed gtk-sharp-beans and it did. I also did a git pull aug 26 and now I get :

I’ve tried checking for updates on any of the dependencies but there didn’t seem to be any. I did a clean make on everything and make install just to be sure.

What if all dependencies were install but I still can’t get gio hardware to say yes instead of no?

Make sure the GIO Hardware line says “yes” when you run autogen.sh

nice work!

should this work when running ubuntu as a VMWare guest? I’ve rebuilt everything but I’m finding the Hardware manager won’t start up, throws an exception thus :

Just install the PS3 media server and call it a day. It is the best for streaming to DLNA server clients.

Indeed.

Due to this post I installed Banshee. At first it looked pretty nice, but then it crashed when playing a video. So saying “Rhythmbox- we just rule really hard” is just plain stupid, since Rhythmbox has never crashed in the two years I’ve used it.

Which is off course completely contradictory to the insult, not fact, that Rhythmbox blows the resource-hog that is Banshee out of the water.
